Safety of military trucks questioned

www.ntv.co.ke Two soldiers died after the truck they were travelling in overturned in Thika town. Another 6 military personnel are fighting for their lives. The latest accident bores a lot of similarity with the last two accidents involving the army. And as James Smart reports, focus is on one type of trucks bought by the government from China.

of course the Chinese trucks which were orded were of bad quality . Im thinking this tender for trucks was like the flawed one for the military jets

  3. kenyabora says on :

The TRUCKS are from CHINA ! Okay. Just this week China told Kibaki the that KENYA IS A SOVEREIGN nation. A music to PNU criminals and the Ocampo Gang which only grants China more opportunity to plunder Kenya.

Man why can’t they seal off the accident scene, you idlers standing just feets away from the wreckage. health n safety bwana is necessary. Pole to the military, we should get the Japanese made trucks. not chinese.

  9. bwanakeino says on :

Trucks made of debes kill. You can see the debe material when the truck is flipped back onto its wheels.

I wish the Heli that was ferrying KKK mass killers to Eldoret was made in China.China has no real technology knowledge of its own,all what they do is steal and copy, something we can do too here in kenya with thousands of graduates leaving campus each year, they are better than us kenyans in building bridges only but roads Karuri karuri construction co can do the quality of works.Selfishness, greedy and corruption has claimed innocent lives here and no one will be punished for it.

  12. Tillia87 says on :

Blame your drivers FUCKERS!!!…….. HOW many accidents are witness in kenya everyday?……..they are driving as if they own everything without watching the speed limits. In fact in Kenya roads there are no warning about the speed limits and the nature of the roads….. for example if there is a curve approaching. HII NI BURE KABISA!!!! HAKUNA!! HAKUNA KABISA!!

  13. siasabora says on :

stop flimsy excuses for ur road stupidity blaming Chinese Trucks for your madness…what next u’ll blame the roads made by the Chinese? How about u learn road courtesy? or just walk like yu did in the 9th Century?

  14. siasabora says on :

@72okoths : what do u suggest the military drive? boda bodas?

  15. OneWholeKenya says on :

Kuna mtu amekula na kuna watu wanakufa. Normal in Kenya sadly enough.

  16. sunnycatch says on :

Trucks don’t kill people and don’t suddenly flip. People driving trucks are the problem. How stupid are these people to say its the trucks fault?

Kwanza, the reporting in this NTV clip is substandard and very unproffesional. Military trucks used to crash frequently because of the type of tyres they used. Mst of ou who have seen these trucks also not the deep grooves that the tires have, this is becaused they are offroad tyres. When you take the same tyres to a tarmac(smooth) road, traction is reduced. However the army has learnt that and they now use smoother worn out offroad tyres. I have coplete faith in these trucks.
